 Shares of TCS closed at Rs 3,857 on January 12, 2022.  This means that the last closing price of the stock was Rs.  Buyback must be completed at a premium of 643 or 16.6%.  The company also declared a record dividend of Rs 7 on January 20, a record date.

 TCS said that the last date for receipt of completed tender form and other specified documents including physical share certificate by the registrar is March 23.  The last date to complete bids on stock exchanges is April 1, 2022.

 TCS's fourth and largest buyback in 5 years

 This is TCS's fourth and largest buyback offer in the last 5 years.  TCS's last buyback opened on December 18, 2020 and closed on January 1, 2021.  The buyback is worth about Rs.  16,000 crore.
