There is good news for you if you have also invested in NPS.  Now you can also get information about the risks involved in National Pension System (NPS) schemes.  PFRDA has made new rules for this.  Under the new rules, pension funds will now have to submit the risk information of all NPS plans on their website within 15 days before the end of each quarter.  The move by PFRDA is aimed at helping NPS subscribers decide which assets are best for them to invest in.

 PFRDA has issued guidelines

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has issued guidelines for this.  The regulator has selected six risk levels to alert investors.  Before investing in various NPS schemes, they will provide all the information about the risks associated with them.  Let me tell you that the new rules will come into effect from 15th July 2022.  Also, this will apply to all current schemes of E, C, G and A series.

What is the New Testament?

According to a circular issued by the FRDA, "Investments under various asset classes of pension fund schemes will cover different levels of risk for subscribers."  Therefore, it is imperative that information on the risks involved in various NPS schemes be made available to the customers.  Six levels of risk have been suggested.  The first is low risk, the second is low to medium risk, the third is moderate risk, the fourth is moderate-high risk, the fifth is high risk and the sixth is extremely high risk.

Not only that, the regulator has also stated in the circular that plans of Tier-1 and Tier-2 asset class equity (E), corporate debt (C), government securities (G), and pension fund managers of Scheme A should have a risk profile and  It should be mentioned.
